Mad Hatter Counseling provides a space free from judgment in which a qualified professional can listen and help. With years of experience under our belt, we pride ourselves on being able to assist clients struggling with mental illnesses as well as simple stress management.
Life boils down to a complex entanglement of relationships. Families, friends, and romantic partnerships are the complex components of our lives that affect us both mentally and physically. At Mad Hatter Counseling, we provide the tools and skills for communication in order to dispel toxic engagements and cultivate healthy behaviors.We also offer a number of free resources for anyone seeking help who has not yet scheduled an appointment or is not ready for formal counseling.
How Does it Work?
There Are a lot of myths and assumptions that go along with counseling. Do I need to lay on a fainting couch? Am I going to have to blame everything on my mother? How many times is the therapist going to ask, “How does that make you feel?” All of these are more or less inaccuracies. Our counselors begin the process by having an intake session with each client to learn more about them and their background. They then collaborate with the client to make a plan for moving forward. The client is in control of his or her own treatment’s progression with the counselor’s assistance and guidance.
Mad Hatter Counseling provides sessions in which we assist clients in working through current conflict and creating healthy techniques to use in order to avoid future problems.
